step of holding a series of Exhibitions in Japan. |

In cooperation with NPO
Laboratory of Image Culture Okinawa, the Exhibition was held at Kumoji
Public Hall, Naha, Okinawa. |

In cooperation with the
Omori Corporate Taxpayer's Associations, which has 1.32 million corporate
members nationwide, the Exhibition was held at Ota Forest of Culture
Hall, Tokyo. This led the potential of holding the photo exhibitions
across the country thereafter. |

World Environment Photo
Exhibition Executive Committee was registered by the Tokyo Metroportan
Government as "NPO World Environment Photo Exhibition." |

NPO World Environment
Photo Exhibition, by itself for the first time, held an Exhibition
at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. |

9-16 |
In cooperation with the
Department of Environmental Quality Promotion of Thai Government,
the Exhibition was held at the buiding of the Department of Environmental
Quality Promotion in Bangkok. This led to succeeding exhibitions in
Thailand. |

In cooperation with District
3750 Rotary International, the first Exhibition in South Korea was
held at Ansan Culture and Arts Center at Ansan City. |
2005 |

Under a formal authorization
by UNEP, the first volumes of the Japanese versions of UNEP's official
magazines, Our Planet and TUNZA, were published. The
two magazines are to be published quarterly, which amount to a total
of eight issues per year. |

NPO World Environment
Photo Exhibition changed its organization name to NPO Associates of
the Earth. This change was certified by Tokyo Metropolitan Government. |

UNEP Publication Japanese
version Site was launched under www.ourplanet.jp. |

Environmental Photo Exhibitions
at 7 International Airports were successfully held under the title
as "Exhibitions of the UNEP 'Focus on Your World' International Photographic
Competition on the Environment at International Airports" which draws
media's attention internationally. |

The first "Window on UNEP Information and Events" was opened at Tokyo Big Sight. It displays pictures and videos on the environment owned by UNEP. |
