The 22nd Domestic and global winning entries of the UN Children's Painting Competition on the Environment will be traveling the "Window on UNEP Information and Events" across Japan.
UN Children's Painting Competition on the Environment:
The International Children's Painting Competition on the Environment is organized every year by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Japan-based Foundation for Global Peace and Environment (FGPE), Bayer and Nikon Corporation, inviting children all over the world to submit their paintings. The theme of the 22nd painting competition is "Water: The Source of Life" and Japan domestic division received 1,390 applications from all over the country. In March 2013, 63 works from 3 sections of lower grades of elementary school, upper grades of elementary school and junior high school were selected.
